Step By Step Guide To Embed ConvertKit Forms On Squarespace
If you’re looking to connect your ConvertKit email marketing software to your Squarespace website, you’re in the right place!
In this article, we’ll walk step-by-step through the process so you can embed your ConvertKit form and start growing your email list with your website.
Step 1: Create your ConvertKit form
Inside your ConvertKit* Account you'll go to Grow and then select Landing Pages & Forms. Click the Create New button and select the type of form you want to make.
Step 2: Style your ConvertKit Form
You can customize the form with your content, add in your brand colors and select from the default fonts.
Quick tip: If you are using an inline form and want to make the form fields align to the enter of your website, simply add in this code in th Custom CSS field in ConvertKit:
margin: 0 auto !important;
align-content: center !important;
Step 3: Customize your form settings
Then you’ll need to adjust the settings for your form. To do so, click on the Settings tab at the top of the page.
If you’d like to redirect people who sign up through your form to a specific page on your website, add in that link under the General tab.
And then if you are using double opt-in you’ll want to customize your incentive email and either upload your free gift as a file or URL which your new email subscribers will see after they click the button in your incentive email to confirm their subscription.
Step. 4: Copy the embed code
Once your form is ready to go, click the “publish” button.
You’ll see a pop-up with several options to embed your form onto your website.
I recommend using the HTML code which you can copy in full from ConvertKit.
Step: 5 Embed your form code into Squarespace
Head back to your Squarespace* website and find the page & section where you want to embed your form block.
Add a code block.
Then remove the default code from the code block and paste in the ConvertKit code.
Lastly, make sure to save your page to keep your work! And you’re done!
Note: You can also connect a Newsletter block to ConvertKit using Zapier, but it’s a more complex process which I don’t recommend for most business owners since it adds another software to your tech stack and complicates future updates to your website.
