1) Lead generation

This is the most obvious use case for pop-ups, and for good reason! Once you’ve done the hard work of getting someone to your website, you’ll want to encourage them to join your email list so you can continue to build that relationship and nurture them towards a sale.

Often we do this by offering a free lead magnet in exchange for your visitor's email address. However, the challenge then becomes how to get those future subscribers onto your lead capture forms.

Traditional overlay pop-ups are super effective for email sign-ups, but you can also try out some less intrusive options such as a callout modal overlay which shows on the bottom left or right of your website. I also love using the embedded section feature inside my blog posts to highlight my free resources and offer a quick way for people to sign up for them right in the blog post. Additionally, using a center modal popup like ConvertBox can be a highly effective way to generate leads and capture your visitors' attention.

To find this you’ll likely have to log into your account and look in the settings for “Header Code Injection” or “Custom Code” and make sure that it is indeed adding that code to the header of your entire website, not just a single page.
