5 Design Tips for a High-Converting Sales Page
How is your sales page converting?
There are a lot of factors to consider to improve your sales page, from your offer to the messaging, copy… the list goes on.
But when it comes to crafting a truly successful sales page - that converts casual browsers into eager buyers -design plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of the page.
In this blog post, I’m sharing my 5 best design tips for creating a high-converting sales page.
Sales Page Design Tips and Tricks
1) Create a Strong Sales Page Headline
First, let's talk about writing a strong headline for your sales page. Your headline is likely the first thing your website visitors will see when they land on your sales page, so it's critical it grabs their attention and makes them want to keep reading.
Your headline should also be clear, concise, and compellingly communicate the benefit of your product or service - not just the features included!
In terms of design, your sales page headline will perform best when it’s above the fold (aka before you scroll) and in a larger font size than the rest of the text.
2) Use Images and Videos on Your Sales Page
Images and videos are also essential elements of a high-converting sales page. They break up your text, adding visual interest to the page.
But more importantly, if you use images that are relevant to your product or service, you’ll not only grab the reader's attention - you’ll also paint a picture of the offer they’re considering. Along with friendly photos of you, the business owner, you can also include mockups or product photos to really show off the value inside.
Consider using videos to showcase your product or service in action or to provide a testimonial.
And make sure that the images and videos are high-quality and optimized for the web. This is critical to keeping your sales page accessible and easy to use for your potential buyers - and thus, can impact your overall conversions!

3) Optimize Your Sales Page Design for Mobile
Optimizing your sales page for mobile devices is obligatory in today's digital age. More and more people are browsing and shopping on their mobile devices, typically over 50% depending on the market, so it's important to ensure that your sales page is responsive and easy to navigate on various mobile devices.
This includes designing a mobile-friendly layout and using font sizes that are easy to read on a smaller screen.
4) Add Social Proof to Your Sales Page
Incorporating compelling social proof is another important aspect of a high-converting sales page. Social proof simply means using the experiences and testimonials of your other customers to show that your product or service is trustworthy and effective.
This can include things like customer testimonials, case studies, and awards. These elements can really help to increase trust and credibility with your potential customers, which in turn makes them more likely to buy.
5) Make Your CTA (Call to Action) Super Clear
Lastly, including a clear call to action is crucial for a high-converting sales page.
A call to action is a button or link that encourages the reader to take the next step, such as making a purchase or signing up for a free trial.
On your sales page this is THE ONE THING you ultimately want your visitors to do, so make sure your calls to action stand out and is easy to find. You’ll also want to include multiple calls to action throughout your sales page to encourage people to take action as soon as they’re ready.
The text you use on your call to action button will work best when it’s direct and action-focused, so leave the cutesie phrases for your other content!
