Why Every Service Provider Needs a Client Project Hub

If you’re selling done-for-you services - whether as a freelancer, consultant or a specialist like a Copywriter, VA or Ads Manager - you need a client project hub. Aka, a centralized place you manage your project with your client.

In this blog post, I’ll be sharing why you need to use client project hubs in your projects and the impact they’ll have on your business.

Why Every Service Provider Needs a Client Project Hub

What is a Client Project Hub?

A client project hub is a digital tool you can use with your client to manage your project, share vital information like timelines and deadlines and centralize all the information about your project in one easy-to-use place.

Why do service providers need to use Client Project Hubs?

If you want to improve your client experience, reduce scope creep and streamline your processes, having a client project hub will help! That’s mostly because you’ll have a simple, shared space to point your clients to see their project overview, timeline, deadlines, assets ect…

By creating and sharing a centralized place for your clients to answer their questions themselves and find all the resources they need as part of your work, you’ll position yourself as a confident expert and encourage them to buy-in to your process.

Offering a resource like this can also help you increase your prices because you have robust systems in place to make your projects run smoothly and ensure more happy clients!

Who needs a Client Project Hub?

If you’re offering longer-term, in-depth or complex done-for-you services you’ll likely benefit from having a client project hub. Basically, if you have complex timelines, deliverables, client assets or require more in-depth client communications adding a centralized hub for your project will be a huge asset for both you and your clients.

How to create a Client Project Hub

You’ll want to create a new client project hub for each client, so it makes sense to start by creating your base template first and then duplicating it for each client.

Ideally, you’ll want to include your onboarding information, timeline, intake forms and a way to collect any assets you require of your clients. You may also want to include a way for you and your client to exchange messages.

You can build out a client project hub using your website or the project management tool you already use. Or you can save some time and get the Seamless Client Experience Bundle which includes my Client Project Hub in Notion! This dashboard is super easy to customize with your brand and comes with an "at a glance" dashboard shows your upcoming tasks, project timeline, links to your documents and a chat feature for quick questions.
