How to Create a High Converting Webinar for Your Course Launch
Webinars are still one of the best ways to get more people into your sales funnel to sell your course, both during your launch and as part of your evergreen sales funnel.
Of course, it does depend a bit on your ideal audience and what language they prefer - webinar, masterclass, workshop, etc. but overall if you’re teaching something valuable and then pitching your paid offer you’re on the right track!
In this post, you will find some of the best tips and tricks for creating a high-converting webinar for your course launch.
Map Out Your Talking Points:
First up, you’ll need to figure out what you’re going to say in your webinar.
If you struggle with mapping out the content of your webinar, start by listing out the main talking points you want to cover both in the educational portion and in the sales pitch. Webinars are more common nowadays, especially in specific industries, which means it’s even more important to create a webinar with an easy-to-follow flow or framework.
The best webinars focus on serving over strictly selling, so make sure you strike a balance with sharing helpful information and promoting your paid offer. Have you ever attended a webinar that was more than 50% sales pitch and fluff content? Yeah, it’s not great for attendees!
Always Lead With Value:
If you want your webinar to convert, it really needs to deliver valuable and actionable steps that get your ideal client thinking. That gives them a small taste of your expertise, knowledge, and training style. And it’ll get them excited to learn more and work with you deeper inside your paid offers!
Attractively Designed Slides:
You don’t want to just sit on your webinar and talk at people with nothing to look at but your lovely face, right? You need something interesting and engaging that illustrates your points. Any slides you create for your webinar should be simple, clear, and easy to follow. Beautiful slides are great but sometimes the simpler, the better. You don’t want the content and value to be overpowered by the design.

Limit the Sales Pitch Time:
As I mentioned above, we do use our launch webinar to pitch or lead them into our course, but we want to do this in a timely manner at the end.
Make the most of the last 5 minutes by positioning your course as the logical next step from the valuable content you’ve shared. You can also casually mention your paid offer throughout the webinar too to reduce the “surprise pitch” effect when only mentioned at the end.
For example, “This is something I cover a lot inside the course, but the most important thing is _______.” This gets them familiar with the course before the pitch comes and helps get them excited about it without being overly salesy.
Determine the Right Time to Host:
If you are doing live webinars, when are the best days or times to host them? This will differ depending on your ideal audience and might require some testing for you to find the sweet spot. Try different days and times and see which slot received more registrations or a higher percentage of attendees who attend live. This data will be super helpful for planning future webinars.
Alternatively, you can decide to do your webinar my Not-So-Live way, where you pre-record your content but create a sense of urgency & timeliness for your audience to sign up and watch before it disappears.
Attendee Bonuses:
Decide ahead of time if you want to offer any webinar bonuses to encourage more people to sign up and attend. You could offer multiple bonuses - one for anyone who registers and something extra exclusive just for those who attend live. This will greatly increase your conversion of webinar registrations and attendees.
Final Thoughts
While launching with a webinar can seem daunting, it’s well worth the effort as it’s one of the best ways to build excitement and anticipation for your course during your launch!
