What's really holding you back from having an amazing website that gets you more dream clients?
If you're reading this, I bet you already know how important an amazing website is for your business, right? But I'll also bet that there's something holding you back from having that powerful website too...
Do any of these sound familiar?
I don't have time to create my website
Tech stresses me out!
I'm not a designer, I don't know how to make it look good
I'm so confused about which platform to choose
I'm sure I could DIY it if I wanted to, but then you ever do...
Well, friend, I have some tough love to share with you... these aren't true! Or at least, they don't have to be true if you really do want to have an aligned website as part of your powerhouse marketing strategy.
Let's address these worries one by one, shall we!
5 things that may be holding you back from having your dream business website
1: You don't have time to create your website
I get it, as busy business owners, parents & people, time is so precious! But I bet you didn't know that you could pull together your entire website in less than a week! Yep, by harnessing the power of templates, guides and follow-along tutorials, you can create your website in a matter of days!
2: Tech stresses you out!
This comes up a lot for entrepreneurs, and creating a website that not only looks good and performs well but is also supremely easy to use is a major focus of my business! Picking the right tools that you feel comfortable using and that work well for your business is critical, which is why I recommend Squarespace* for most service-based businesses
For a full rundown on why I recommend Squarespace over more complex design tools like WedFlow, check out this article.
3: You’re not a designer, you don't know how to make it look good
Never fear! That’s where your branding can save the day! Your brand is so much more than your logo and once you’ve got your visual brand nailed down the web design piece is that much easier to put into place.
4: You’re so confused about which platform to choose
There are a ton of great website builders out there, so the hesitation to pick one is completely understandable. While I do believe there is a tool for every purpose, I've selected Squarespace* as my platform of choice because it’s by far the most user-friendly option out there (great for my technophobes!) while also offering really robust e-commerce, blogging and marketing functionality to support you as your business grows.

5: You’re sure you could DIY yourself, but then you ever do...
Perhaps the hardest challenge of all - motivation!
I see this come up a lot when some of these other concerns are at play as well, but even if you feel super confident about the tech, design and time you may find your website keeps slipping to the end of your to-do list.
This is where knowing yourself comes in handy! Here are my honest thoughts on when is the right time to DIY your website vis hiring a professional web designer.
